Privacy Policy

TaskPlate · Last updated: July 2026

TaskPlate is a personal to-do application for iPhone and iPad, developed by IdeateOverCoffee. Your privacy is fundamental to how the app is built: TaskPlate does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.

Information We Collect

None. TaskPlate does not require an account, sign-in, email address, or any personal details to function. We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or any other personal data.

How Your Data Is Stored

The tasks, notes, due dates, reminders, and preferences you create are stored only in the app’s private, sandboxed storage on your device. This data never leaves your device through the app and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Data Sharing and Transmission

TaskPlate does not connect to the internet to send or receive your data. There are no external servers, no cloud accounts operated by us, and no third-party analytics or advertising services that receive your information.

Device Permissions

TaskPlate requests only one permission, and only if you choose to use reminders:

  • Notifications — to display the task reminders you schedule. Reminders are delivered entirely by your device’s local notification system. TaskPlate does not use a push notification service, and no reminder content is ever sent to a server.

TaskPlate does not request access to your location, contacts, calendar, camera, microphone, or photo library.

App Lock and Biometrics

TaskPlate includes an optional App Lock feature, turned off by default. When you enable it, the app requires your device passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID to open.

Authentication is performed entirely by your device’s operating system. Your fingerprint and facial data are stored and processed by your device’s secure hardware, are never accessible to TaskPlate, and are never collected, stored, or transmitted by us. The app receives only a confirmation that authentication succeeded or failed.

Crash Diagnostics via the App Store

If you install TaskPlate from an app store, that store may provide the developer with aggregated, anonymized crash and performance diagnostics — for example, Apple’s App Analytics and crash reports. This information is collected and shared by the app store, not by the app, and does not identify you personally. You can opt out in your device’s privacy settings. TaskPlate itself contains no third-party crash-reporting or analytics software.

Device Backups

If you have enabled system backup — such as iCloud Backup or an encrypted local backup on iPhone and iPad — your device’s operating system may include TaskPlate’s local data in your personal backup. This is performed by your device and your chosen backup service under your own account and settings, not by TaskPlate. You can disable it in your device’s backup settings.

Children’s Privacy

TaskPlate does not collect any information from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for general audiences.

Your Choices and Rights

Because your content lives on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing it in the app or uninstalling the app. Deleting the app removes all of its locally stored data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Since we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, or delete on our servers; you remain in full control of the data on your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app, including support for additional platforms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and the in-app version will be updated with the next app release.
