What is RemGood?

RemGood is a private, on-device app for remembering the everyday things that are easy to forget — when the car was last serviced and when it’s due, which filter to replace, a warranty and purchase date, or the restaurant dish you loved. You organize items into categories, attach photos or documents, and get reminders at the right time.

Is RemGood free?

Yes. RemGood is free to download and use, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no email, and no password. Open the app and start adding items.

Which devices are supported?

RemGood runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17.6 or later.

Do my items sync between my iPhone and iPad?

Not automatically. RemGood keeps everything on the device it was created on — there is no cloud account and nothing is uploaded, which is what lets us promise your data never leaves your device. To move your items to another device, use the built-in Backup & Restore (see below). Automatic sync is something we’re considering for the future, so if it matters to you, let us know at info@ideateovercoffee.com.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

Use Settings → Data Backup & Restore. Export a backup file on your old device, transfer it to the new device (for example via Files or AirDrop), then use Import to restore everything. Because the backup file is not encrypted, keep it somewhere you trust and delete it once you’ve finished restoring. Backup is best used occasionally — mainly when upgrading your phone.

Where is my data stored?

Your items, notes, dates, and any photos or documents you attach are stored only on your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I attach photos and documents?

Yes. You can take a photo with the camera or pick one from your library, and attach documents to any item. Attachments are stored privately on your device. You can also choose to save photos you capture to your own Photos library.

How do I lock the app?

Turn on App Lock in Settings. RemGood will then require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to open. Authentication is handled by iOS — the app never sees your biometric data.

I deleted an item by mistake. Can I get it back?

Yes. Deleted items move to the recycle bin under Settings → Deleted Items, where you can restore them. They stay there until you remove them permanently or your Auto-Delete rule clears them.

What happens to my items if I delete the app?

Because everything is stored on your device, deleting the app removes your items with it. Export a backup first if you want to keep them. If your device backup is turned on, RemGood’s data may also be included in that backup like any other app’s.

My reminders aren’t appearing.

Check that notifications are allowed for RemGood in your device settings, and that the item has Reminder enabled with a date and time. Tapping a reminder notification opens RemGood directly to that item.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?
